It was one of the first places I took my “better half” on a date (by this point it had changed hands and was known as Norfolk Wildlife Centre and Country Park). Philip Wayre runs The Norfolk Wildlife Park, a wildlife park which has some rare birds and animals, at Great Witchingham.

The park closed in 2011, by which time it was called Animal Ark.Sad the park has gone, and Phillip as well who passed in 2014 at the ripe old age of 93.His legacy is the phenomenal success of the otter breeding programme which has ensured the survival of the otter throughout the UK.I managed the park for 8 yrs finished in 1995 worked the reindeer I have very few photos would love any if any spare is found, but it really needs a good sort even if it’s just to the negatives just get stored safely.
