Maybe as you go up the width range the L2K nibs smooth out, but I've used lots of other pens (Pilot, Platinum, Sailor, Conid, Waterman) in 0.25-0.30 widths (EF) that are glassy smooth. I also have a F and it's too wide for me, but a bit smoother than the EF. But the writing experience is mediocre for me. I take it with me to work now too because I just love writing with it.
