I am very impressed with Esoteric's remastering and expanding of Procol Harum's canon, and this edition of the wonderful 'Live In Concert with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra' is another superb addition to the catalogue. While many bands joined hands & instruments with an orchestra in the late 1960s/early 1970s, the result wasn't always a rousing success, despite the best & most ambitious of intentions. I have this on Vinyl so very happy to gert a good deal on this CD This is Procol Harum at their best these days IMHO Gary Brooker cannot sing to save his life but here he is at the top of his game that's a concert I would liked to have gone too the orchestrations are top notch. The rest of the album stands up well and the bonus tracks are good though I was slightly disappointed with the lack of orchestration on 'Shine on Brightly'.
