We selected Riverview Bistro based on the menu and reviews around the interwebs. AND BOTH the dining section and this area were COMPLETELY EMPTY. The staff is fantastic, the food is amazing and although we haven't taken complete advantage of their Happy Hour, it's always hopping! See the full schedule. Prompt and friendly service. The bartender/waitress was nice and did a good job! very relaxing dinner on the deck on a beautiful night. The hostess was friendly and seated us promptly. There were 6 ppl in the bar area and I went up to the bar from my table to order everything.. food is great it would just be nice to have actually serviceWe enjoyed a beautiful shower upon which my sisters and I gave our niece.

We had to ask for bread, straws (twice), parmesan cheese (twice), and knifes. The caesar dressing, unfortunately was bland and tasteless. Bad!

There was a large party adjacent to our table, however, they used folding partitions to keep it private for them and for us as well. My husband's calamari and fries were not crispy and looked like they were drenched in oil, my wedge salad was a wreck (the iceberg lettuce tasted bitter and was all yellow or dried out, the substitution of ranch in place of blue cheese due to my pregnancy never happened; instead of blue cheese or ranch I received no dressing at all), the bread for the bruschetta fell apart as soon as I picked it up, my son who eats up the penne with sauce anywhere we go only took two bites.
We ordered drinks, mine an extra dry vodka martini straight up. 228 reviews. And of course, no meal is complete without dessert! Get a new dishwasher, use jet dry or get new glasses!!
Our reservation was for 7pm and we enjoyed the view and sunset from the outdoor dining area.
Had a great dinner on a business trip. From salads and wraps to burgers, steaks, pasta and seafood, we are confident that you will find a new favorite in every dish you try. Just a few tweaks and it is a 4 star plus experience! Meatball, grilled onions, marinara and fresh mozzarella. We preferred the comfy couch at the back and knew we would be long gone before any happy-hour costumers arrived.The waitress immediately shot me a cold glance and wouldn't come to our table to give us menus or water.
One had fries, which were great and one had a mixed greens salad with a great light dressing. New to CT, we were told they usualy put in extra olive juice.
